First luminaires: 1932 First production of luminaires and exhibition at the Leipzig Autumn Fair
Renaming: 1977 WILA-Leuchten Wwe. Wilh. von Hagen
Acquisition: 1984 Acquisition by Helmuth K. Unger, renaming of WILA Leuchten GmbH
Conversion of the production to technical luminaires, compact downlights with the new compact fluorescent lamps
Subsidiary: 1993 WILA Lighting Limited is established in Oxfordshire
Unger Group: 2002  WILA Leuchten GmbH belongs to Unger AG. Other members of the group are Bruck GmbH & Co. KG. and Hartmann & Unger GmbH.
Administration 2004 In August 2004 WILA Leuchten GmbH enters the administration process
A NEW ERA    
MBO of UK: 2004 In December 2004 WILA Lighting Limited was subject to a successful MBO led by Michael Collett, as Chief Executive Officer.  Peter Le Manquais is appointed Managing Director.
WILA Group: 2005 New WILA Group is formed by the Management Team and secures ownership of the WILA product range, brands and intellectual property rights from the Administrator of WILA Leuchten GmbH in an asset acquisition.
New Company: 2005 On 1st April 2005 WILA Lichttechnik GmbH was established, with Andreas Henrich as Managing Director. WILA Lichttechnik GmbH allows production to be centralised in Iserlohn, Germany and joins WILA Lighting Limited as part of the new WILA Group.
