The downlight with two light colours is
based on a day and night philosophy that people prefer a
neutral artificial light during the day and a warm
illumination at nightfall to promote a sense of well-being in
the individual.
The E21 downlight has been engineered
using the new Osram powerball metal halide lamps and offers
two different light colour benefits within one luminaire. The
two lamps are uniquely positioned crosswise to form a
complementary unit with the reflector geometry. This
positioning ensures that the light distribution
characteristics of the lamps remain optimum when switching
between.
The powerful 150 W lamp from the neutral
white range is suitable for daytime whilst the 70 W warm white
lamp is ideal for nightfall. Each lamp is equipped with an
all round, exact, rubber lip which delineates the luminaire
housing with a jet black shadow line from the expanded metal
cover.
For safety purposes the luminaire can be
provided with automatic isolation
